Why Is Monocef-100 Prescribed For A Child With High Fever?

my daughter(8 years) have fever 102-104c from last one day.My family doctor said there are no viral or typhoid or malaria infection.Her total WBC 15100/cmm and Neutrophils 8o%. the doctor prescribed her Menocef-0-100. I want to know why he prescribed this drug.

A high neuterophils suggest bacterial infection, that is why Monocef-O which is an antibiotic has been prescribed.
