Why Is Panfor SR-500 Prescribed During Pregnancy?
I am 29 years old, 5 2 in height and 46 in weight. my periods is delayed for 2 weeks this month and the pregnacy test is negative. I am planning for pregnacy and my gynocologist adviced me to take Panfor SR 500 until I get conceived. Dr what is the use of this?

Panfor sr500 contains metformin.it is an oral hypoglycemic agent which means it is used to reduce sugar levels in diabetes.it is contraindicated in pregnancy.as your urine pregnancy test is negative you may not be pregnant.you didn't mention about your diabetes status.if you are diabetic and get pregnant switch to insulin and stop metformin.any way please confirm your doctor for what purpose it was given.thank you hope my answer helps you
