Why Is Baby Scared Of Tub Bath After Had Rash And Strep?
My son is 16 mo. Last week he had a diaper rash and strep. Now all of a sudden, he hates the bath tub. Just screams and cries. Rash is gone, water temp if fine. I'm baffled. He used to love the bath. It's been 5 days. I've tried everything- new toys, getting in with him, even tried to hold him in the shower. Why the sudden change? What can I do to make him love the bath again?

It's quite normal for children to avoid water or any handling of the groin after diaper rash. There is no cause for concern. Just give the child couple of day and it will be fine. Also application of coconut oil to Perianal region will be helpful.
