Dear service user,
Thank you for writing to Healthcaremagic.

I can understand your concern about erectile dysfunction with your partner at one occasion. Later on you 'could not' make erections.

An occasional episode of erectile failure due to functional or situational reasons like fatigue, tension or own ''pressure to 'perform' rather to enjoy'' is very common. This diminishes arousal level and hence erection too. This seems in your case.

This 'failure' of erection makes one feel 'I should perform best' and he 'tries to erect’. This in turn further leads to lack of erection.

Just enjoy kindling and loving with touch in the way both of you feel comfortable, rather than focusing about your performance and 'pressure to satisfy' her.

What you need to do is to consult a psychiatrist well versed with psycho sexual therapies. He will definitely assist you to come out of this problem.

Erectile dysfunction is very common, even in people younger than you.

I hope this will help you. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please feel free to write to us. I will be happy to answer your questions. Wish you good sexual health ahead.

I understand your concerns about inability to have erection.

An occasional episode of erectile failure due to functional or situational reasons like fatigue, tension or own ''pressure to 'perform' rather to enjoy'' is very common. This seems in your case. When you focus on your penis to ''make it'' erect, it may loosen.

First erectile failure due to any reason leads one to be worried about next sexual encounter. One focuses constantly on ''how do i perform''. This leads to anxiety and difficulty in erection in subsequent sexual activities. One’s anxiety goes on increasing with every ‘failure’.

What you need to do is to consult a psychiatrist well versed with psycho sexual therapies. He will definitely assist you to come out of this problem.

By the way, this problem can occur at any age, even people younger than you may have it. No need to feel anxious or guilty for that.
