Why Is My Baby Having Indigestion Symptoms After Giving Infant Formula?
My 4 week old son is showing what I believe are symptoms of indigestion. It began lastnight after giving him infant formula. He is being breastfed but we gave him formula. During the night he fusses and cries. It looks like he struggles to pass gas and poop. We offer him breastmilk he'll resist. He burps and passes gas here and there but is not pooping as regularly as we are accustomed to. Any advice please.
Hello, I have gone through your query and understand your concern.
It is not at all advisable to give the formula feed for the 4 week baby. These all problems are due to his formula. Please stop these formula feed.
It is usual that baby resists to feed the breast milk. If your baby resists, You should get help from the pediatric nurse and she will definitely teach how to feed your baby. Your baby must need exclusive breast feeding for first 6 months. Even you should not give him a water.
Thus please get help from a well trained pediatric nurse and feed the breast milk only to your child.
Hope this helps. Please write back for further queries. Wishing you good health.
