Why Is My Husband's Bcr/abl Ratio 0.16 In 2 And Half Years?
my question is for my husband who was diagonised with leukemia, twoand half years before.his bcr/abl ratio was 79 % then .he was on imatinib 300 mg since.now his bcr/abl ratio is 0.16 ,it is said that the ratio should be .001% by one and half years.kindly advice and let me know your opinion.
Hello. Thanks for asking question. Since his BCR/ABl ratio is 0.16, it seems he is not in complete remission. He requires bone marrow and cytogenetic evaluation and may require change of therapy. Consult a hematologist for these tests. regards
