Why Is My Left Eye Sensitive To Light?

I recently had laser surgery to repair a retinal hole in my left eye. Now I am sensitive to light, and if a bright light is shone into my left eye, I pass out. ?!? This reaction does not happen if a light is shone into my right eye. What could be causing this??

Hello
It seems from the history that you have undergone laser treatment for a retinal tear and you are having sensitivity to light on exposure to light.
This indicates inflammation of the eye because of laser treatment.
The treatment is by use of steroids or antiinflammatory drugs to reduce inflammation.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
