Why Is My Left Leg Shiny Below The Knee And Skin Is Peeling And Bleeding?

My left leg is shiny below the knee and the skin is peeling an bleeding, thereby forming scabs. I am a 67 year old male and have been diagnosed with congestive heart failure. I live in Puerto Rico and am taking several medicines for my heart and for avoiding water retention. Several month ago I was old I had the SARM bacteria. Please advise.

Hello,

I have gone through your query and it seems to be asteatotic eczema.

I would recommend you to apply topical steroid like cortisone cream on the affected areas twice daily along with the frequent and regular application of moisturizing lotion on the entire leg 2-3 times in a day.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Asmeet Kaur Sawhney, Dermatologist
