Why Is Not The Lump On Head Going Away?

my husband hit the top left hand side of his head off the bulk head coming down the stairs in our house about 3-4 weeks ago. He was very sore and a bump appearead on his head. Now 3-4 weeks on he still has the lump. No pain, just the lump irritating him. Does this need to be checked out?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern.
Discussion:- If this was the head injury then it need to be investigated at first, if this the kind of swelling then it need to be ruled out for the formation of abscess, because now this is vey likely condition.
Medication:- Tab Ibuprofen 400 mg three times in day can be tried.
Advise:- Better to get the done the clinical examination may need CT scan.
Comments:- Head injury should always be taken seriously.
Hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
