Why Is 'secef' Given For Fever And Vomiting In A Child?
When will doctors prescribe Secef syrup? My 5yr old daughter is suffering from fever, morning vomitting and morning loose motion? after allowing body to fight on its own for 5 days with paracetamol, now doctor has presecribed anti-biotic - SECEF - for 5 days without examining her again. Just wanted to be sure what for secef is used?

As problem is continues since 5 days, he might be having bacterial GI infection.
So antibiotic is to be given.
Secef is an antibiotic and advised properly.
