Why Is The Novelon Tablets Prescribed?

I have been bleeding for past 5 days,I am prescribed with novelon for 21+21 days as my period is not regular also,my gyne told it will regulate my period and stop bleeding.Should I take this without fear of any side effect of ruining my fertility system,as it s a birth control pill.And has she prescribed novelon because I am pregnant!!

Novelon tablet contains ingredients namely Desogestrel and Ethinyl Estradiol.
It is a low dose combined oral contraceptive pill.
Novelon tablet is also indicated for the treatment of menopause, recurrent miscarriage, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, painful menstruation, failure of ovarian development and other such conditions.
Some of the minor side effects are common with use of Novelon pills. The possible side effects are temporary and often easily managed.
Kindly take the medication as prescribed by your doctor and do the necessary follow-up.
