Why Is The Baby Passing Much More Watery Stools After Taking Ranitidine?

my little one will be 2 months old in 8 days. he was put on ranitidine a few days ago by his doctor. well we were already concerned with his poop. it was kind of water (which i was told was normal) well after him being on this medicine for a few days, his poop is very watery, and doesnt have a lot of consistency at all. he poops quite a bit now and its worrying me. could it be the medicine?

Hi,

I have gone through your query.
It is normal for a 1-2 months old baby to have stool with watery consistency. Before 6 months of age baby is exclusively Breast fed. But if he/she is not satisfied Top up breastfeeding with formula milk can be given.
The cause of more watery stool may be ranitidine, and you should stop it after consulting your treating doctor.
