Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Why Is The Medical Profession Not Acknowledging Urine Based Catecholamine Testing?
There is urine based catecholamine tesing available that can be very useful tools in the diagnosis of neurotransmitter deficiencies. I think the whole medical profession in General is doing a great disservice by not acknowledging this fact. This blind trend of one size fits all distribution of anti-depressants and stimulants are doing much more harm than good. Not to mention the plain disregard for medicine s that have major interaction. It s literally killing people. I hope for the good of man kind that medical practitioners start realizing the great potential in catecholamines tesing for the diagnosis of serious mental conditions and treatment.
I am trying to find a question in your post ! It seems you are misinformed yourself and trying to misinform others ! urine based catecholamine tests are available since a long time and are used for diagnosis of Pheochromocytoma which a tumor associated with excess catecholamine secretion. Needless to say, this is a rare tumor.
Please donot be 'misinformed' yourself and donot misinform others. This is a clear abuse of an online platform is which is made for 'real' people to ask 'genuine' problems related to their health and not for misinforming people with unsubstantiated information.
