Why Is The Skin On My Vulva Sore And Itchy?

I have very sore itchy broken skin on my vulva area it has been like it for years I've tried every cream I can think of the only thing that has helped is trimovate cream but I have been told by the dr that is no longer available they gave me daktacort instead but it hasn't helped at all please help I'm at my wits end

Hello and welcome to healthacaremagic.

I would keep a possibility of Candidal vulvovaginitis. Clinically it presents as vulval itching and pruritis and curdy vaginal discharge.

Recurrent Candidal vulvovaginitis could be because of underlying raised blood sugar levels/diabetes.

If I was your treating doctor I would have asked you to get a lab test for blood sugar levels.

An oral antifungal e.g fluconazole 150 mg once every week for 2 weeks along with an antifungal pessary e.g clotrimazole vaginal pessary once daily at night for 7 days, would be more effective in curing the infection rather than just using a topical antifungal like daktacort.
