Why Is There Strange Sensation And Heaviness In Area Of Stitches On Forehead?
My father aged 56 years met with an accident 15 days back, skin on the right side forehead including the skin on the right eye was torn and came down. As a result a lot of bleeding was there and was admitted in the hospital and treated with 32 stitches to instate the torn out skin inplace.
There were also stitches put on the right side eye lid. Subsequently the CT scan of the skull and head was done along with other xrays and investigations and it was confirmed by the doctors that there were no internal injuries to the eyes, forehead, skull or brain. Necessary antibiotics were prescribed and taken to heal the wound and the stitches were removed after ten days of the accident.
Doctors suggested to dicontinue the antibiotics since the wound at the stitched portion was dried.
However even after 15 days he is unable to open his right eye and has discomfort and pain in the eye ball and gets too much of strain.
And also the right portion of the forehead where the skin was reinstated there is some strange sensation's and heaviness.
Could you please suggest the cause of the problem faced in opening the right eye and suggest any remedies to overcome the problem. i would be greatful if you could also suggest the appropriate doctor to be consulted to overcome the problem
