Hello
Thanks for the query
Your baby is quite healthy.continue your breast feeding till the age of 2 years.Teething will start at 6 months onwards and in some children may be delayed teeth erruption even till one year is also seen. so dont worry at all he is just months old ,wait for few more months then if teething dont start can consult a pedodontist for opinion.
Hope i have tried to clarify your doubt.
Take care

Hi John,
Thanks for writing to us.
Eruption time of baby teeth differs in each person.
Usually baby gets first teeth in mouth around 6-8 months of age.
You can wait until baby is 1 year old.
If teeth has not erupted even after 1 year old, please do consult your dentist.
Meanwhile maintain your baby's gums clean using moist cotton.
An X-RAY of the dental arch will help to diagnose any toothbud underlying.Only if any systemic anomalies are associated, tooth eruption becomes too delayed.
At this age,no need to be worry.
Hope this helps.

hello
normally lower anterior teeth start to come at the age of 6-7 months and it may be delayed upto 6 maonths in few cases
since your child is only 5 months old so you need not worry
visit your dentist if there isnt any tooth by the age 1 year
hope that would not be required
best wishes

usually teeth erupt 7-8 months post birth but may be early or delayed by 3-6 months. So wait for 4-5 months more and consult a dentist and he will take x-ray and let you know.

there is no big fuss in this delay in teeth coming, nothing will happen to the child. it is some sort of delay which is common.
