Why My Gums Are Inflamed, Red And Painful Post Tooth Extraction?

I had tooth #30 extracted 4 weeks ago and since then I have been in a lot of pain. The dentist cut the tooth out and had a hard time doing it. I was put on antibiotic of clindimyicin . Now where the tooth was cut the gums are inflamed red and painful. I also have bad ear pain and headaches. What is wrong?
