I had a closed head injury from a fall 5 weeks ago, and seem to be sneezing with increasing frequency. At first, it just seemed that I felt the tickle of a sneeze, but no sneeze came. Now I sneeze. I also realize I have anosmia, but I believe I was able to smell a few weeks ago. I don't feel like my nasal airways are entirely clear at all times, but this comes and goes. Odd taste in mouth. My CT from 2.5 weeks ago reported most blood to be absorbed and paranasal and mastoid to be clear. What is going on?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of nasal airways blockage after fall which could be due to injury to sinuses and nasal septum leading to accumulation of blood in sinuses. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to start with antibiotics and anti inflammatory drugs . You should use nasal sprays like fluticasone for short term basis. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination and discus about medicine with doctor . Doctor may recommend you surgery.
