Why My Right Side Of The Throat Is Bruised And Painful?
I went to the doctor on friday for a sore throat, cough, and stuffy nose and he diagnosed it as a Sinus Infection and he gave me a ZPack. I'm starting to feel a little better but now the right side of my throat feels bruised when I swallow and I can feel pain on my right ear when I swallow. What could this be?
Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query. In case of upper respiratory tract infection, there will be thinning of the epithelium of the mucosa that results in pain and burning sensation. It seems to be due to bacterial infection. You can continue the same medicines and complete the course. I would suggest you to take throat lozenges and do warm saline gargles. Need not to worry. You should avoid intake of cold carbonated beverages. Drink plenty of fluids. The symptoms should subside in 5days. If it is not subsiding, then consult an ENT surgeon and get it evaluated. I hope I have answered your query, take care.
