Why The Mucus In The Back Of My Throat Is Not Coming Out?
I've had a sore throat for a little over a week and feel as if I have mucus in the back of my throat that just won't come up. This morning I coughed up some mucus, but it had a hard, chunky consistency. Should I be worried and should I see a doctor? I feel fine otherwise.

You could have pharyngitis or bronchitis like condition...Here you can have secondary bacterial infection....
If secretion yellow thick with fever also antibiotic should started.
If cough wet and not coming out then ambroxol containing serup used expectoration.
Meanwhile if condition not improving chest x ray done for further work up....
