Why There Is Pain In Lower Leg After Giving Birth?

I am suffering from lower leg pain (calves - knee to ankle) since giving birth to my son 12 weeks ago... It was my second csection in two years... no redness or swelling.... my OBGYN said that each pregnancy is different and some women feel symtoms for up to 6 months?? It feels like constant leg cramps... I am breastfeeding.

OB & GYN Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

Mild leg cramps could be normal, if it is increasing or persisting you need to consult a doctor urgently to rule out blood clots in legs, medically known as deep vein thrombosis.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Arif N. Khan, OBGYN
