Why Throat And Chest Infection Not Getting Cured By Antibiotics? Tuberculosis Test Required?

My wife has a severe throat infection and cough from past 2 months. She has taken some antibiotcs and her chest X-Ray revealed sinuses and chest infection.The Doctor gave her medicine and she felt better but still not fully recovered.Today in the morning while brushing there was a small blood clot which came and she went to ENT specialist.The doctor advised her clavam 625mg and said that the medicine should be taken for 3 days otherwise go for Tuberculosis test.Kindly suggest.My email id is YYYY@YYYY

Hi,
As her chest infection is since long, she requires investigations to come to correct diagnosis.
Go for,
1, X-ray chest,
2, Complete blood checking like TC,DC, ESR.
3, Sputum test.
After all investigations plan of treatment can be decided.
Ok and take care.
