Why Was I Asked To Get Echocardiogram After Stress Echocardiogram Discovered Irregular Electric Pathway Of Heart?
Hello I did a stress echocardiogram yesterday and it was discovered that the electric pathway of my heart was irregular. I was then told to do an echocardiogram today and my heart was found to be fit and had no problems at all. Why did I need to do both since a stress echocardiogram is in effect an echocardiogram and then a stress test and then an echocardiogram again. I just want to understand it please. Thanks.

As your stress echocardiogram is showing Irregular electric pathway, they want to confirm it that during resting condition you have same pattern or you have normal pattern so they asked for it.
Our heart when in resting stage has normal flow but when we have stress the flow increases to compensated for work load.This achieved by increase in heart rate.Heart rate is generated by SA Node & pass through electric pathway.
