Why Was I Blanked Out Suddenly For A Brief Moment?
Hello, I am a long haul truck driver. I had stopped and fueled up and then went into the restroom to wash my hands since I had gotten diesel on them. I walked outside and went blank, I didn t remember hy I was there or where i was. After a few minuets I remembered I was a truck driver and went to my truck. Everything was normal after a few minuets. I had not eaten or taken anything to cause this. It has never happened before. I did not hurt anywhere.
Hi, thank you for asking Healthcare Magic. What you felt is called syncope and is associated with decreased blood flow to the brain. It has has diverse causes which might be rising quickly from recumbent position, compression at the neck (turning the head to one side or wearing a tight collar), emotions, irregular heart beat and many other medical conditions. Since you pointed out that it is the first time you are experiencing it, I do not think you should worry so much about it. It was just transient. But, however, if it recurs, I would suggest you seek medical attention.
I hope that answers your query. If you have more questions or any follow up query do not hesitate to write to us. I wish you well
