Why Was There A Clear, Salty Discharge From Mouth After Shoveling Snow?
What is the significance of clear liquid pouring from the mouth after exertion? I shoveled snow..and did not feel well....came in felt fine after being sick . After feeling better..went out and shoveled a bit more...came in and fluid built up in my mouth and basically poured out of my mouth...heavy discharge clear and slightly salty.... Any ideas...?
one possibility is sinus congestion due to exposure to cold. these can drain as swelling in the sinuses worsens with exposure to cold and decreases in warm temperature. when you say you did not feel well, I am not sure what symptoms you were having. Shovelling snow has been known to precipitate angina, which is pain due to inadequate blood flow to the heart. if you are having such symptoms you should immediately see your doctor.
