Why Would SGOT Levels Not Reduce Despite Treatment Given For Dengue?

My wife was having dengue fever and she is almost cured from the disease.She had fer for the first five days and there after no fever. Furhter she had no other symptoms like body pain .head ache rashes or vomitting but only fatigue.As the platlets counts were not alarmingly decreased the doctor didn t hospitalised her Advised to take rest and enough fluid intake to avoid dehydration.Today she is pukka ok and decided to join for her duties on monday. But today we checked her PLT & SGOT as which is shown as below PLT 323 thousands/cu mm SGOT 96 IU/L fever started on 2.06.17 evening and taken to Doctor on 3rd. Blood test:0 3.06.17 - Platlets-146 thousands/cu SGOT 55 IU/L Dengue NS1 Reactive Ab ig G and Ab IgM- Non Reactive 05.06.2017 Blood test PLT 74 (manual) 74 thousands/cu mm SGOT 127 IU/L today we have to see our doctor again.Why doctor her SGOT level is still seemed to be increased.Kindly let me know as I am that much worried. Hi,

It is dengue fever as platelet is decreasing and NS1 is reactive. Management is purely symptomatic but you need to hospitalize her immediately. Make sure she didn't get any injuries.

As per my knowledge, there is no medicine which increases the platelet count in allopathy. However, Ayurveda suggests papaya leaves are known to increase platelet counts. There are preparations also available for its extracts, so you can start it at earliest.
