Hi, Thanks for using HCM.

Since you are 61 during intercourse due to lack of vaginal secretion there will be irritation and pain. Due to this there may be vaginism. You can consult your gynaecologist for it and can take vaginal cream or oral tablets. loss of errection may be due due to age related factor or lack of hormones or due to loss of interest in sex due to vaginism. So get treated for vaginism and if the same problem continues then evaluate for it. Consult your doctor for examination and management.
Hope I answered your question. Feel free to ask me if you have any further queries.
Wish you good health. Take care.

Regards
Dr. Lohit

Psychiatrist Dr. Susanta Padhy's  Response
If female partner suffers from Vaginismus (painful spasm of vagina during penile penetration), this in consequence have erection problem in male partner.

This is a common phenomena

No need to worry so much. First get yourself treated your vaginismus problem adequately, abstain from intercourse till that time. Once you are ok, I hope, then, both of you can resume normal sexual life. Hope your husband is not diabetis
