Will ART Work For AIDS Now?

Dear dr. Someone I know has full blow aids. He knew he had the HIV virus for 2years but did not go on ART. He has lost 20kg these past 6 weeks. It started with phneumonia which is under contol but he also know has TB. He started to use ART 24days ago. Is there still a chance that the ART can work.

I understabd your concern.

ART has execellent results and review in HIV infection.

It will helpful.

Start early as possible.

It Wont cure HIV but It will prolong life and increase body power to defance against virus .

So ultimately it prolong life.

Treatment for TB is also must.

Start both as early as possible and get well soon.
