Will Deviry And Fertomid Help In Ovulation And Getting Pregnant And If So, Will There Be Any Side Effects?
Hi, I had missed periods for three months( not pregnant) and then took Deviry + Fertomid 50mg but no effect. there was no ovulation. So my doc increased the dose of fertomid to 100 mg 2 per day for 5 days. We're trying to get pregnant. Will the medicines help in ovulation? Will it affect my baby if i get pregnant? Also i gained a lot of weight during the missed period months (PCOD). how can i control it without medicines. Any help will be appreciated.
Fertomid is the trade name for a drug called clomiphene. It is commonly used to induce ovulation in women who are trying to conceive.
Your doctor did what is recommended, increasing the dose when there is no response. If there is no response to the increased dose, then alternate hormonal medication is used.
The other aspects of treatment of PCOD include weight loss and metformin. The weight gain that you have experienced would potentially worsen the PCOD. You should try altering your diet and increasing your physical activity to try to lose weight.
Weight loss would be achieved by eliminating sodas/fruit drinks. Using more vegetables, salads. As the amount of vegetables and salads are increased, you should decrease your use of rice/pasta/flour products.
I hope this helps
