My answer is YES. Diclofenac will relieve pain. Diclofenac is a Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug that reduces synthesis of prostaglandins by inhibiting the enzyme cyclo-oxygenase. The pain, swelling, high fever, redness all may result from the action of prostaglandin. The radiofrequency ablation targeting the nerve might trigger an inflammatory reaction of the nerve and its surrounding thus resulting in severe pain. By giving diclofenac , this drug will ensure the inflammatory reaction from RFA is minimised thus resulting in less pain. I have to mention that diclofenac can be hard on the stomach as it can cause gastric irritation. Please do not take it on empty stomach. Alternatively take it in combination with anti-acids to protect your stomach.
