General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Any drug taken during pregnancy could cause a risk for the developing fetus.
Hydrocodone is in a group of drugs called narcotic pain relievers.
The drug under FDA pregnancy category is 'C', which means the drug should only be given during pregnancy when benefit outweighs risk.
Kindly consult your doctor for a change of medication accordingly as it carries a certain amount of risk when used in pregnancy.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
