Will Hydroxycut Interact With Metformin And Lisinopril?

I have had a difficult time losing weight, I take 500 mg metformin 3xd and 20 mg lisinopril in morning. I am an active (walk 3-5 miles every day) 67 yr old female, but my weight is now 200 lbs. Being only 5 2 this means I am obeses. I follow a heart healthy diet and limit sugars and snack foods, but no matter how I struggle, I have beenun able to get my weight under 200 lbs. A friend recently recommend Hydroxycut Pro Formula. Reading the product label was encouraging as ingredients looks pretty safe. While there had been some controversy in the past due to previous ingriendients, my friend stated that the formula had been changed and it was much healthier and might be to my advantage to try it. Will Hydroxycut interfer with Metformin and Lisinopril?

Hi,

Hydroxycut is a fat burning dietary supplement like any other weight loss supplement. It definitely works, if accompanied by healthy diet and regular body exercise. But the weight loss will be continued / maintained only till you have a healthy life style. Previously the product was withdrawn, because it was thought to be causing increased cardio-vascular risks as well as hepatotoxicity due to presence of a constituent ephidova.

In the re-marketed product, in use today, this constituent is not present. No convincing evidence is known to show any interaction between Hydroxycut and metformin. Also, after withdrawal of ephedova from Hydroxycut, there seems no apparent adverse issue of Hydroxycut being used in patients of hypertension on antihypertensive drugs including lisinopril.
