Will I Be Able To Get Pregnant With Polycystic Ovary Pattern?
Hi, i am 28 years old. Got married on 6 feb 2013, I had miscarriage on 21 april 2013. Doctor said there is no heartbeat of baby. After that i am trying to conceive, but no results. I have polycystic ovary pattern. will i be able to pregnant. i am hopeless now. Pls help.
Polycystic ovarian syndrome can make conception difficult but there is effective treatment available that can help you and your husband to conceive.
The first aspect of treatment is normally metformin and loss of any excess weight. Both of these improve the chance of conception. Metformin also reduces the insulin resistance associated with this disease.
If these are not successful on their own , then you may be started on medication to improve ovulation. It is called clomid.
This is used for a few cycles. There are also options if this is not effective.
The situation is not hopeless, your doctor will guide through the different aspects of treatment.
I hope this helps
