Will I Be Needing More Surgeries For Calcium Deposits After The Rotator Cuff And Tendon Repair Surgery?

I had shoulder surgery in feb. for torn rotator cuff, tendon repair and a large calcium deposit, the pain was returning so about a month ago, my doctor sent me for x-rays of it, and the results were more calcium deposits, I never asked my doctor if I will need more surgery for them or if they will keep coming back?

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The calcium may need to be removed surgically in case these are causing a restriction in the shoulder movement or a chronic pain. It depends on the size and rate of increase of deposits.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
