Hello,
Welcome to healthcare magic.
From your history, it is not clear as to what was the cause of your hair fall.
If minoxidil was prescribed for a temporary increase in hair fall( due to anaemia, thyroid problems, post childbirth, etc) , the hairs will re grow well and may not fall after you stop the treatment.
If, however, it was given for androgenetic alopecia ( male/ female pattern hair fall), the hair fall can restart after stopping the medication as it is genetically programmed hair fall.
With 2% minoxidil, the side effect of unwanted hairs on the face is very minimal.
Hope this cleared your doubts.
Take care.
