Will Liv 52 Help In Prevention Of Jaundice In Newborn Baby? Can This Be Taken During Pregnancy?
will LIV 52 help in prevention of physiological jaundice in new borns. I suppose it might help protecting the livers of both mother and child if taken during pregnancy hence can prevent physiological jaundice which has been a common feature of late. kindly provide data if you have any on this matter to YYYY@YYYY
Hi,
Welcome to HCM,
You should understand it is called physiological Jaundice and it is not having harmful effects in newborns. That is why it is called physiological.
In my opinion the drug in question will not be helpful in preventing jaundice, physiological jaundice improves easily with Phototherapy or exposure to sunlight.
The drug in question is a herbal drug and there are no authentic scientific studies are there hence will not be able to comment on that.
The idea of taking this drug during pregnancy to prevent physiological jaundice seems unnecessary in my view.
As such also we do not want to take unnecessary drug during pregnancy.
In case someone is taking such drug please bring it to notice of your Gynecologist.
Please take care
