hello, my brother is a 42 year old, newly diagnosed with Myelofibrosis. He lives in Ghana. He now has frequent diarrhea and has abdominal discomfort. He just completed a 21 days of lenalidomide. He had a CBC done today, it shows Hgb-9.3, hct-30.7, PLT-101 (increased from 70), RDW-CV- 21.4, Neutrophils 38.5, Basophils .18. Can you please tell me if Ruxolitinib will help. Hello welcome to HealthcareMagic
Regarding your brother's symptoms of diarrhoea and abdominal discomfort followed a diagnosis of myelofibrosis as well as usage of lenalidomide I am suggesting that yes the Ruxolitinib will definitely go a long way to improve his condition
In view of this please let him see an oncologist specialist for further clinical assessment specific diagnostic tests counselling and adequate drug prescription
I hope this helps Regards
