Will TSH Level Of 8 Affect Brain And Health Functions Of 2 Month Baby?

Hi , I had a new baby girl 2 month ago , and recently we found that her TSH is 8.0 .befor that we did this test and the result was normal , but recently when she had the TSH test again , it was vey high , so do you think this well affect her health and her brain functions ?! Thank u

HI...usually a TSH value of morethan 20 only need to be reacted to immediately and is associated with adverse effects to the brain. But the values vary depending on the labs and their reference ranges. If possible get back to me with the reference ranges of the lab in which you have done the test.
