Will TSH Of 4.5 Cause Harm To Baby And Will This Affect Normal Delivery?
i am seven nths pregnenent now.My blood test of the first taken over while my second months of pregnency isgoing on and .the result is 3.75.Now in this seventh month i have 4.5 tsh level.my question is that is it any problem to my baby?.Is afeecet my normal delivery?
Hi, What about your T4 levels? Are they normal? The TSH should be less than 3.5 in second and third trimester.
If TSH level is high it may affect the pregnancy. It may cause high blood pressure, separation of placenta (abruption), premature leaking of liquor etc thus indirectly affecting the mode of delivery.
In accordance with certain international thyroid associations I am of the opinion that it is good practice to take thyroid hormone to keep your TSH level below 3.5. I hope I have answered your concerns.
