Will UTI Cause Discomfort While Urinating?
i have had a uti for the past 4 weeks and have taken 4 different antibiotics. I ended up in the hospital because it got so bad and now that i've finished my medication I still feel discomfort. I feel discomfort way after I am done urinating. I am getting very frustrated

This sounds like interstitial cystitis. The cause is unknown, but basically you have discomfort and the feeling that you have to urinate. Basically, it feels like you have a UTI when you don't really have one. Medications that may help with interstitial cystitis include ibuprofen, pentosan polysulfate, or amitriptyline. I recommend seeing a urologist who specializes in treating this, as the antibiotics clearly aren't helping you.
