Will A Bladder Mesh Surgery Cause Itchy Rash Like Eczema?

I was just wondering ….. I had the bladder mesh surgery Dec. 2010. I am having some problems..I see the doctor tomorrow morning. In the meantime I was just wondering can I develop an itchy rash that may resemble Eczema? I am not allergic to laytex. I have this itchy rash all the was down the middle of my back. From the middle all the way down to my butt crack. I am researching a few things to ask her tomorrow. Could my body just now be rejecting this mesh? Thank you Diane

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Your symptoms seem to be related to eczema.

We can not confirm if it is related to the mesh surgery.

I suggest using antihistamines such as Cetirizine 10 mg daily.

I also suggest using Calamine lotion for local application.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contappct me again.

Kind regards!
