Will Antibiotics And Aspirin Suffice To Treat Bruising And Pain In Ankle?

my husband bumped his ankel about three weeks ago . The bruising started to go but he started to get pain in the inner side of his calf muscle he said it felt like fluid. He went to the doctors three days ago who gave him antibiotics and asprin and told him to elevate it when sitting he feels no better and its still hurting him more when he sits than stands he has varicous vains and its on his left leg it also looks a bit disscoloured.

Hi,

In your case since you have fluid like swelling in calf- could be hematoma due to injury or partial tear of muscles. I recommend you undergo MRI for proper diagnosis . If it is hematoma which has not been infected, nothing except pain killers may be required.
