Will 'augmentin' Help In Treating Swelling Around The Eyes?

I was prescribed augmentin to treat my sinus infection / peri orbital celulites on Friday night. The swelling of my eye has got worse over the last two days. Do you think augmentin was the correct antibiotic for my symptoms and how long until my swelling recedes?

Hello
Augumentin is an antibiotic and it can be used to treat infections including sinus infections and periorbital cellulitis.
But along with this antiinflammatory drugs are required to control inflammatory symptoms.
Applying hot compression will help to provide symptomatic relief.

Thank you
