Will Buccastem Help In Absorbing Fluids In Case Of Severe Vomiting?

Hi my 17 yr old daughter has been vomiting every 10 min for 2 hrs. She has been sipping water but cannot keep it down. the vomit is just water now. She has had some diorolyte too. should I give her a buccastem so she can absorb some fluid and get some rest? Ps not alcohol related, probably gastroenteritis.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history About your daughter having persistent vomiting. Now clear water but can not tolerate anything.
When the vomiting is persistent, uncontrollable, unable to tolerate even water she will need injectable antiemetic.
Vomiting looses lots of fluid and most importantly the electrolytes causing further complications.
Hence I would advise her the following:
Admit her for intravenous fluid and electrolytes as per the blood reports.
