Will Consumption Of Alcohol Once A Month Cause Adverse Effect?

Hello Doctor, My Triglycerides is 244 and HDL is 33; LDL is 107; Total Cholesterol is 189. Glycated Hemoglobin (HbA1C) is 6.60% Please suggest can I take any drink like Whisky or wine ( 1 or 2 ) once in a month for just giving company. I don t take drink regularly. Also please tell me what are the precaution I have take in diet. My mail id is YYYY@YYYY

Hello,

Occasional alcohol does not cause much health problem. You can use alcohol on a monthly basis safely.

You have to make sure that you take liver function test is normal before using alcohol. Wine is safe as it will prevent heart diseases.
