Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Will Intake Of Baby Aspirin Hurt The Foot Of The Affected Person?
My doctor today told me I had low hemoglobin so he wants me to push fluids and take baby asprin. I have been taking regular now for a while because it helps my feet not hurt after being on them all day. Is this aspirin going to hurt me? I feel as if maybe taking aspirin might be my problem
Low Hb usually means anaemia. There are different causes of anaemia but none are treated with aspirin or fluids. It is possible that there is another condition that is requiring Aspirin and fluids.
Aspirin is used to prevent heart disease and stroke, particularly useful in persons at risk -diabetics, hypertensives, high cholesterol, smokers, overweight/obese, inactive persons, family history of heart disease.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
