Will Intercourse Cause Low Bleeding In Periods?

I usually have very heavy bleeding during my period....I haven't seen my boyfriend in 6mths & ivisited him the day before it was due, we began having sex as I arrived and yesterday it came but very light and we been on the go 2 days now, today is my second day ofmy period and I don't have much pain nor am I bleeding much & usually heavy by the second day.....is the sex causing the pain & bleeding to be minimal?
