Will It Be Safe To Leave A Snapped Needle In The Foot For A Day?

hi, i stepped on a needle today, I thought I pulled it out, but part of it has snapped. Im not sure how much is left in my foot, but it is too deep to pull out. I will go to A&E tom after work. Do you think it will be ok to leave it that long? thanks

Hi,

As per your presentation, i will advise you to go to A & E today only. You need a X ray of the foot for looking at the exact location of the the needle in yours foot, before removing.

I will also advise you to don't put weight on the foot, as pressure will cause more trauma to the underlying structures,

I hope this advise will help you. If you have any other query, i would be happy to help you.

Regards,

Dr. Vivek
