Will Martinor Taken For 20 Days Prevent Pregnancy While Having Irregular Periods?

HI, I have an irregular period for last 7 yrs and married an year before. I wold like to have a baby. I have been prescribed martinor 5 mg for 20 days by my doctor and asked to report her during the 2nd day of my next period. whether the tablet will prevent me getting pregnant during these 20 days?

Thank you so much for asking your question. Martinor will not prevent you from getting pregnant while you are on it. It can depend on how it is used, but in your case you are taking it for twenty days in order to induce a period so your doctor can help you get pregnant. Given your history, it is very unlikely that you will get pregnant while you are taking the medicine, but it will reliably not prevent a pregnancy.
