Will Mepfrate Cause Heavy Bleeding?

I am Banu and my age is 29 and i struggle from infertility problem and hormone prob.i get regular periods(5 day) and additionally Dr,advised to take meprate,after taking i am getting bleeding for (7 days) with heavy flow. and i taken mepfrate for 2 months and same 7 days bleeds.. will mepfrate cause heavy bleeds.
